Serapis of Nordby

Serapis was a tea clipper, the Formula 1 of shipping at the time, and became the last clipper registered under the Danish flag. Serapis was so fast that she sailed from Shanghai to New York in just 139 days. A light cargo allowed the tea clippers to reach high speeds, which meant that the cargo to arrive first could be sold for large sums of money – and it also meant that the ship would not turn back if crew members fell overboard.

This blend is a wonderful fusion of a whisky barrel-aged Stout and a Barley Wine from sherry casks. The result gives the beer a lovely aroma of whisky, raisins, and a balanced taste from the sweet barley wine and the robust flavour of the barrel-aged stout.
